I've been getting a lot of questions about Ace & Jig's Fall 2017 collection, to which I sadly don't have to which I don't have all the answers, as I don't work for Ace & Jig or any of their retailers, and thus don't get special access (yet!). But below is what I either do know, or have guessed based on past Ace & Jig textile experience.
Note: All photos are by Ace & Jig, but it does take time and effort to organize them all into this guide. if you use this site as an image source, please credit "@aceandjig via @anotherthread" so that others can find their way here!

Drop 3 (October):
Brighton | Brighton Natural | Blackstone | Forte | Gala | Masquerade | Knightsbridge | PrismDrop 1 - August 2017: (Now available online!)
Cabaret: A supersoft doublegauze, comparable to Emerald/Sky, Oxblood/Peppermint, Diamond/Agave. Its reverse is Antoinette. 100% Cotton
- Update: It seems as though the snags were limited to the run of Ra Ra midis in Cabaret. I have not had issues with other pieces so far.
- Be aware: this textile seems to be especially prone to snags, and many people have received brand new items with many snags, primarily on the Antoinette side. It's currently unclear if this is a production issue or the nature of the fabric/weave. (Video on how to fix snags here).
Antoinette: A soft doublegauze, comparable to Emerald/Sky, Oxblood/Peppermint, Diamond/Agave. Its reverse is Cabaret. 100% Cotton

Macaron: A lightweight singlecloth Swiss dot fabric with textured tufts, much like Carnival & Pearl from Spring 2017. Its reverse is dotty rather than tufty. 100% Cotton.
Henna: A midweight textured singlecloth. Similar to Major from Spring 2017 and Selvedge from Fall 2017, but with the addition of slightly raised stripes. Very crisp and structured, with a sturdy feel.
Feather: A midweight singlecloth. This one is similar to a neutral version of Damask from Spring 2017. Its reverse (below) is similar to Reverse Damask. 100% Cotton
Feather (reverse): A midweight singlecloth. This one is similar to a neutral version of Damask from Spring 2017. 100% Cotton
Captain: A midweight singlecloth with textured stripes. Most similar to Cavalier and Expo from Fall 2016, with a slightly raised white stripe, and a sturdy feel. 100% Cotton
Cosmos: A lightweight singlecloth Swiss dot fabric with textured tufts, much like Carnival & Pearl from Spring 2017. Its reverse is dotty rather than tufty. 100% Cotton
Drop 2 - September 2017 (Now available for preorder!)
Biscotti: A supersoft doublegauze, comparable to Checkerdot/Isle, Oxblood/Peppermint, Diamond/Agave. Its reverse is Jolie. 100% Cotton
- Update: The non-bandana items in Biscotti so far do look like the above swatch, with thin red stripes, and beige and peach dots.
- On jumbo bandanas: The stripey dots on this textile aren't white, but are striped burnt orange & white.
- The dotted dots seem to vary in color from peach to white.
- This textile seems a bit prone to weaving errors, based on bandanas.
Jolie: A supersoft doublegauze, comparable to Checkerdot/Isle, Oxblood/Peppermint, Diamond/Agave. Its reverse is Biscotti. 100% Cotton
Varsity: A midweight(?) singlecloth. Possibly similar in texture to Victoria from Fall 2016.
Promenade: A midweight singlecloth. Similar to Rail from Fall 2015, with slightly raised stripes, and a sturdy feel.
St. Honore: A metallic light midweight singlecloth. No comparisons immediately jump to mind, but appears tightly woven, and potentially less delicate than most Ace & Jig metallic textiles. It is definitely a bit scratchy, however. 95% Cotton, 5% Metallic.
Outlaw: A light midweight singlecloth. It has a smooth, pliable feel similar to Regent from Fall 2016. 100% Cotton
Parfait: A light midweight textured singlecloth. Most similar in feel to Mirage from Fall 2016, with alternating smooth and textured stripes.
Drop 3 - October 2017:
Brighton: A sturdy doublecloth, similar to Sampler, Coverlet, and Denim Mosaic. Its reverse is Brighton Natural. 100% Cotton
Brighton Natural: A sturdy doublecloth, similar to Sampler, Coverlet, and Denim Mosaic. Its reverse is Brighton. 100% Cotton
Blackstone: A sturdy doublecloth, similar to Sampler, Coverlet, and Denim Mosaic. It presumably has a reverse in Natural Blackstone with the reverse colors, but isn't specifically named. 100% Cotton
Forte: A midweight singlecloth. Feels a bit more loosely woven than some Ace textiles (but not snag-prone), with a light but slightly textured hand and a lovely drape. Reminds me of a lightweight version of Mexican blankets.
Gala: A lightweight singlecloth with textured stripes. This looks surprisingly non-overwhelming and multidimensional in person. Very beautiful, and a standout this season. Its black stripes are similar to those in Merry from Spring 2017. Texturally, while Merry was crisp, Gala is much softer and drapier, which surprised me.
Masquerade: A lightweight very metallic singlecloth. Note: this textile will not be produced — only production samples exist. It can be seen in the season's lookbook and video.
Knightsbridge: A midweight lightly textured singlecloth that visually reads as a mottled grey sweatshirt material (but feels quite different). Does not seem prone to snags. Woven from what looks like some variegated grey/black yarns amongst solid ones. No textile comparisons jump to mind.
Prism: A midweight singlecloth with a textured weave and neon flecks. A bit green/grey in undertone. The texture is similar to Blue Jean from Spring 2016, and the neon flecks are similar to Mural from Fall 2016.
Drop 4 - November 2017:
Halo: A metallic midweight textured singlecloth. This is similar to Chester, Solstice, and Lunar from Spring 2017, with raised stripes and a thick-and-thin feel. It has the addition of fairly dramatic metallic gold and rose gold stripes, and can feel scratchy.
Glory: A sturdy doublecloth similar in weight and feel to Blackstone, Brighton, Coverlet, and Sampler. It is white with slate blue and taupe squares on one side and a gingham-esque plaid in the same colors on the other, as seen below.
Glory (reverse): A sturdy doublecloth similar in weight and feel to Blackstone, Brighton, Coverlet, and Sampler. Its reverse is white with slate blue and taupe squares, as seen above.
Honor: A lightweight(?) singlecloth with textured stripes. Likely similar to Merry from Spring 2017 and Gala from this season. 100% Cotton.
Nocturne: A midweight(?) singlecloth. Possibly similar in feel to Highland from Spring 2017.
Bewitched: A midweight(?) singlecloth with textured stripes. Likely similar to Solstice, Lunar, and Chester from Spring 2017, with raised stripes and a thick-and-thin feel.

Thanks lovely! Really helpful x
ReplyDeleteTHEY'RE ALL TOO GOOD. Even the flashy textiles are catching my eye, and I'm usually not into the metallics! The brown in Captain looks just like Sampler but the textile seems lighter-weight. The background of Prism definitely reminds me of Blue Jean. Thanks for putting this together, can't wait to see more reviews! :)
